South America Trip - Santiago Update

Just some quick words here for update. I am now writting this from Santiago city, in Chile, South America. The weather is 27 degree out there, blue sky without single cloud, so I have tucked my jacket simply in my backpack while walking under the hot sun. Surprisingly the air here is dry and pleasant, so I donĀ“t sweat alot, not like back in Malaysia.

I just started the trip on Thursday, flying from Brussels t0 Madrid and then Santiago, with Luc. We have done visiting Santiago on Friday, then yesterday we went to Valparaiso the whole day. Today again doing Santiago before taking a taxi to airport in an hour to leave to Calamar in the north Chile, where we will take a shutter to San Pedro de Atacama. There we are going to see the geysers from volcano and the salt desert, one of the biggest of its kind in the world. It is one of the dryest region in the world, and also the change of temperature day and night, not to mention its altitude at >2500 meter.

After San Pedro we will leave to Lima in Peru for a few days. Then going on to Cusco, Machu Pichu, the Lake Titicaca and Arequipa. All these places are actually Unesco Proctected Area, so I am really excited to go to visit this very precious piece of land in the world.

I will try to update more if I find a wifi, I have got a mini laptop with me :) Gotta go now to catch my flight!
